Community
I am a newly qualified hypnobirthing teacher, mum of three and I want to create a space where all members of our community can come together to receive support and care.
Since moving to Kirk Hammerton, when my children were little, I have experienced first-hand how it can sometimes be challenging to access resources other communities, based around towns and cities, have on their doorstep.
I want to see support for young families within easy access of the village, including; hypnobirthing antenatal classes, baby massage, yoga and music classes, or simply offering a space to catch up with other parents with young children in the area. Providing a nurturing environment to make much valued connections.
For older children and adults this could be organised classes such as art or board game clubs, digital support or just help with your online shopping!
I would love to create a safe warm space you can come to meet friends and spend time together and enjoy a treat from the amazing café.
The hope is that, in addition, PicKHle will provide volunteering opportunities and employment for teens and other community members, providing a flexible space from which the whole community can benefit.
